Discover the Magic of Epcot
A Spotlight on Spaceship Earth
The park icon of EPCOT, Spaceship Earth, is more than just a stunning geodesic sphere—it’s a journey through human communication and innovation. This 18-story, 165-foot marvel was designed by Bucky Fuller, who coined the term “spaceship earth.” At night, its aluminum exterior lights up in a dazzling array of colors. Inside, a slow-moving ride takes you through the history of human communication, from ancient cave paintings to future possibilities. Did you know? It was the most expensive ride to build at Disney World, costing $1.4 billion in today’s dollars!
Exploring EPCOT’s Four Neighborhoods
